Creating the Acorn Leisure Chair involved the use of modern numerical control technology for the wood parts, which were shaped by machine cutting and manual grinding. The metal parts were processed by manual heating. The parts were then assembled to complete the seat production. The Acorn Leisure Chair measures 740mmx750mmx640mm. The wood and metal parts can be quickly disassembled, making it convenient for transport. The designers used high-quality hardware connections to ensure the chair's durability and aesthetic appeal.

The design project began in January 2019 in Shenyang and was completed in June 2019. It was exhibited in the art museum of Shenyang Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in the same month. The designers faced the challenge of combining solid wood and metal to create the feel of an acorn while adhering to the basic principles of ergonomics. Their success in overcoming this challenge is evident in the final product.
